Influence of Trapezoidal Shapes and Cutout Sizes on the Buckling Behaviour of Composite Laminates Under Thermally Induced Loads

Trapezoidal laminated plates with cutouts are commonly found in many engineering field, especially aerospace structures. In cases these subjected to various harsh environmental conditions during its service life. Thermally induced load is the one which seriously affect buckling characteristics of structural components. The study presents effect rise temperature on thermal trapezoidal composite and without by using finite element technique. order model plate, a 9-noded heterosis plate has been used incorporating shear deformation. By correlating present findings available literature, effectiveness formulation verified. computer program FORTRAN language developed investigate different parameters such as shapes, cutout offsets, aspect ratio, ply-orientations, thickness edge conditions. influence each parameter behavior well investigated through this work.
